Judi Brooks has founded this practice with over 25 years as an experienced LMFT specializing in family needs as well as individuals experiencing grief, anxiety, depression or relationship difficulties. Her ethos is that therapists should serve as a guide to help nurture the skills & knowledge for you to be able to better navigate the daily challenges of life  and the unusual circumstances that arise in as flexible a way as possible.

Family Therapy, Parenting & Children with Special Needs

While parenting is a deeply rewarding part of life, it is also a journey filled with stressful phases and addressing your family's particular needs in a safe atmosphere allows for the development of healthy relationship building parameters.  Having the experience of working with hundreds of families and children provides the backdrop to discovering what and how your family's needs will be addressed.  Exploring advocacy  for children and parents through the school IEP/504 process is provided as well.

Children and adolescents are impacted by many factors that affect their overall well being.  With treatment for ADHD/ADD, mood issues, school issues, self-esteem problems, depression, anxiety, trauma, disruptive behaviors, and family transitions, we can create an avenue in which they can thrive!

Our experience enables us to offer effective outpatient, individualized, psychological care. We treat a number of mental health disorders, and provide a neutral place to individuals, families, and couples. 

Our Treatment Focus

Our focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths using several modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT,  and Mindfulness. We achieve this by providing a safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan. 

Each person embarking on a therapeutic journey is unique.  Developing awareness and means to effect change can be quite difficult.  With patience and persistence, we are able to "redesign" and "remodel" the structure of our emotional health.  Let us assist in this process.

Our Therapy

Depression & Anxiety

Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life. 

 

Grief, Trauma & PTSD

Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances.  "Mental suffering or distress over affliction or loss; sharp sorrow; painful regret" are definitions of grief and often assiciated with loss.   Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger beyond the traumatic events. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing. 

 

Relationships and Interpersonal Challenges

   Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, heal from relationship injury, and/or adjust to changes in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are framed to be a supportive arena to discuss issues and solutions to better your relationship.

Insurance

We are in network with United Healthcare, Optum, Oscar, and MPHI.  We also deal with all the major insurance companies and will happily provide you with correctly completed super bills or claim forms so that you can send your reimbursement claim as quickly as possible.

Video or Phone Sessions!

We understand it may be hard for you to find the time, have mobility challenges,  or you may be too anxious to leave the house, so we like to assist with this as much as we can by offering appointments in our offices face-to-face,  over the telephone or by video chat session.  Telehealth services are available to California residents and are often covered by your insurance company.  These services are provided using HIPPA compliant and secure platforms so that confidentiality is protected.
